The Solihull School Nursing service is provided by Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust. The service is comprised of multi-skilled qualified nurses and specialist practitioners.
Health Visitors are experienced, specialist nurses who offer help, information, support and advice to families with pre-school children. Every new mother will receive a home visit from a health visitor after having a baby.
The Health Visiting and Infant Feeding Teams work together with your midwife, health visitor and other health professionals to ensure you get off to the best start with feeding your baby.
We provide advice and support on the implementation of strategies to enable the child to reach their full potential in the following areas: toilet training, sleep programmes, behaviour management, puberty and personal relationships.
The Children’s Community Nursing team supports children and families with complex and palliative healthcare needs that have a Solihull based General Practitioner.
There are 4 Special Schools within Solihull: Hazel Oak School, Reynalds Cross School, Merstone School and Forest Oak School. We are a dedicated team of Registered Children’s Nurses and Nursing Assistants with training and experience working with children with additional health and learning needs who provide support to these schools.
